About Portal Card Access System

i³'s Portal Card Access System provides an extremely powerful, cost effective, integrated access control and facility management solution. The system offers 2 door access controls and up to 32 doors when connecting to 16 control boards. It's a stand alone system that is very easy to install and operate by both the installer and the user. It supports a 26 bit Wiegand access card or higher 46 bit input format.

Communication is possible via the RS-232 serial connection which is popular on most PCs using Windows O/S. However, a network communication is also possible via a module upgrade. Portal can handle 2,000 users. Driven by i³'s proprietary software, the system provides an ideal, modular and expandable solution for commercial and institutional needs. It provides seamless integration with any of i³DVR Digital Video Management Systems allowing users to monitor video and card access information.

From that point, the software begins the following processes:

The Portal Card Access System can integrate and provide valuable data of who, when, where, and for long the individual enters a premise. It's a great solution for managers of small businesses who need to keep track of employees without incurring high implementation costs.

Two reader access control

  • 2 readers per door allowing entry/exit or 1 reader allowing entry only Full stand-alone operation
  • Complete card database and all programming are saved to non-volatile memory
  • Can operate with backup battery

Multiple access levels

  • Weekdays, weekends, and revolving holiday schedules
  • Two time intervals per schedule

Individual door-unlock schedules

Programmed via computer serial port (RS-232 or TCP/IP)
Fully supervised (Low battery, tamper, and AC failure)
Door forced open activates reader sounder and sets off zone alarm if system is armed
