CMS Communication Structure:
There are three main functional areas to the CMS: SRX-Pro Server, CMS Client, and
CMS Server.
The diagram above indicates significant communication between the SRX-Pro Server, CMS Client, and CMS Server. The security professionals can receive vital information (see alert types) from the SRX-Pro through email or CMS Client. With the CMS Client software installed on a host PC and internet access available, the security professionals can monitor activities on a number of SRX-Pro Servers.
Storage usage is the most important indicator for Security professionals and technicians. It shows the system is recording and the total number of HDD operating normally. Since SRX-Pro Server comes with many hard drives and partitions, seeing all HDD operating normally is crucial. The alert types are given a status by the security professionals and categorized as normal, caution, warning, and urgent. These alerts can be monitored on the CMS Client.
In conjunction with the SRX-Pro Remote software, the CMS Client can help security professionals to remotely backup and view live video. Similar to SRX-Pro Remote software where it can only control the setting of one SRX-Pro Server at the time, the CMS Client can control multiple systems in the field.
Synchronizing time of all the SRX-Pro Servers is a simple step with direct communication to the CMS Server. Managing users’ privileges is an important responsibility for many security professionals. A security professionals can classify staff into different groups with users’ privileges and transfer them to all SRX-Pro Servers in the field. It becomes much easier when security professionals can export/import users’ privileges and log/record all procedures as well.
CMS will enable security professionals to monitor the condition of multiple systems in the field live. Security professionals are able to get a comprehensive idea of the on-site situation in case of technical issues or alarms – and are able to react immediately and appropriately. CMS saves resources and the investment will pay itself in the first year because it assures that problems are dealt effectively and economically. Another important advantage of CMS is the possibility of customer-specific activation of functions such as, for example, remote configuration and technical status.
